well that setup last year was about 18" draw and 23 pounds but i modified the atomic to only have 4" of brace height and thus it gives him 2 extra inches of power stroke over the stock atomic.

i wouldn't recomend just running out after deer with just anything. i've got several threads about my kids and their bows and also how i modify them as well but its a mixed bag as to how "crazy" or "genius" i am

that was a 4 blade steel force titanium with the bleeder blades removed and the collar shoulder ground down (all for reduced drag)

and this head went through the shoulder and out then was pulled back it the body as the arrow was broken off

this is a modified diamond Atomic bow
i cut the limbs down so the brace height was 6" and is now 4"

this gives him 2" of extra power stroke
its like a guy who is shooting a 28" bow but with 30" draw power.

Awesome video. I played it and knew and was like dang that looks like my old place in Paint Rock! Sure enough I looked at your BIO and it was! lol No better place to raise a young bow hunter than Paint Rock Texas! I was 9 years old when I killed my first deer with a bow in Paint Rock 20 years ago!
