Made 10lbs of this today with 7 lbs deer and 3 lbs Wrights bacon. HEB was out of bacon ends so we just settled on the wrights bacon. However, it was the bomb and we all enjoyed it. Highly recommend and you will not be disappointed. It will now be part of the annual list. Thanks

Ever tried just using pork butt instead of bacon? I assume the bacon gives it a smoky flavor. I have been using the Laredo spice co La India's premix which is very good, but always looking for something I don't have to have shipped to me.

I made this a couple weeks ago and its pretty dang good! I did 8 lbs deer and 2 bacon. I'd definately recommend it.

Even at 30% Bacon I dont taste the bacon at all
