Exact same for me.

I'll lob an arrow 40+ at a pig though. They don't respond nearly as fast as a whitetail.

The long ones are for fun and 3D only

My top 3 pins are .019 bottom 2 are .010

I use 5, but only use 2 for hunting. I use the others for target shooting.

start at 20 yds and move up by 10 each pin.

4... 20, 30,40, 50. Have them all sighted in pretty decently. However I've probly only shot past 40 yards two or three times. I've only shot animals with the first pin. I have the Truglo Apex sight and love it.

never wanted more than 5 till i went antalope hunting. now my 340d has 7
20-80 i have a 80 yd range at home and practice long regularly. BAD, it is a lot of pins and am still getting used to all those pins.GOOD, practicing at 80 sure makes 40 look like a chip shot.

Wow, glad to see we got all this great feedback! I think I"m going to end up going with 3. 30, 40, 50 and pull the other two out of the sight to clean it up visually. Don't plan to hunt past 40, but would like the 50 there for the occassional 3d shoot.

Set at 20, 30, 40 and 50. Even still, I've never shot past 30 yards at a critter.

This.

I like to practice at longer ranges, because I think it makes you a better short range shooter.

1 pin set at 25yds that's all you need for hunting in a fixed location. i set all my feeders up 22-25yds from stand. that gives you a little more cushion for noise and movement

5 pins, but I only use 3. 20, 35, and 50. 50 is mostly for reference as I've only shot 2 animals at over 40. An elk at 42ish and a 200lb hog at 46.

Deer are all inside of 25, but I did get to put a second arrow in a buck at 57 yards a couple of years ago, which was pretty cool actually!

The last 2 pins are pure practice pins in case a coyote shows up at 60+

1 pin. I just prefer to keep my 3d set up an exact match to my hunting rig other than stabilizer length and draw weight. Same bow, Sam DL, same rest, same sight, same brand of stabilizer.....call me a creature of habit. For me, it just feels right.
