Have not hunted with ancient old Mathews Q2 in 10-years. But it ony had 3 pins. I never took shot at game beyond 35 yards. there was no need to, so 3 pins was adequate for me.

Single pin slider. I can shoot from 20 yards all the way to 70 yards with the HHA Single Pin.

One of my 3 pins. Don't practice enough to confidently shoot past 25 yds. Regretted that when I let a big'n walk at 32 yards last season.

3 pin slider. 20, 30, & 40. Bottom(40 yrd) pin is the floater and is good out to about 110 yards.

I was shooting a 5 pin fixed. Recently bought a 5 pin slider. Will end up shooting it as a 3 pin slider most likely. Maybe a 4 pin, depending on what the gaps end up being.

I'm more accurate with a one pin sight but I found that In the Heat of the Moment, I would forget to adjust my sight. For hunting, I use three pins, 20 30 and 40 yards.

I switched to the EZ-V sight last year. Took a while to get used to it but love it now.

more than 1 pin is too many,, yesterday i took 2 shots at 50 yards, today i took 2 shots at 100 yards,, tomorrow none, saturday i might take as many as 5 but only at 100 yards,,, (no reason to shoot close if the sight is on)

what mess up a clean sight picture with all them unneeded pins!

i have had more than a couple of people knock my choice of a tru glo range rover single pin,,,, but it will extend to ranges beyond 100 yards,,

I like a 5 pin gives good range without being too busy.

1.

Never had the need for more and I have a clean and clear sight picture and no focusing on the wrong pin.

Switched to single pin last year and never going back. Much more accurate left and right. Always hated the cluttered look

One pin slider is all I shoot any more, hha king pin and a spot hogg hog it. I much much prefer them to the multi pin sights I shot for years and years.

I hunt out west so an elk at 60 is not an issue.

Default How Many Pins Do You Use?

I currently use 3 pins (10, 20, 30), but I plan to bump it to 5 (20, 30, 40, 50, 60) if I get a western trip in the next few years.

I thought about going to a single pin, but I have had too many times where a deer will close 20-30 yards of distance in the time Iíve been drawn. I like being able to just switch my focus to a different pin, rather than having to completely wing it on impact change.

Although I have gotten lucky and havenít had to take a shot longer that 23 yards in the last 5 years... I know that it will happen.

5. Sighted in to 60yrds. Not sure why, lol. Had a giant bedded down at 60 for over 2hrs last year. Still couldnít bring myself to release an arrow. That 60 feels like 100+ in the tree.

Seven pins at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80

No plans to shoot an animal over 30, but 1. practicing at the longer ranges make the shorter distances feel like chip shots, and 2. I’m ready for the off chance I can take a second shot at a wounded animal. Happened once with a turkey I hit at 20 and put down at 50 with the help of correct planet alignment.

5 pins 20,30,40,50,60. I don't think 5 is too cluttered and it gives options if I want to let one fly a little further at a pig or coyote.
