Default My run of bad luck continues...

So my mule got stolen a few nights ago . Got the thief on camera . So today I was in Victoria eating down town . And what do I see ? The truck that I have on camera . The idiot busted out a window and smashed his door on a fence post while turning a trailer around . Thatís what made me go look at the truck , the smashed window and door . So I walk in to where he went to eat . Needless to say he is one scared thief . He admitted to me that him and his brother in law took it . They claim they bought it from some lady named Linda . I donít know anyone named Linda . Soon as I get a chance Iím going back to the Sheriffs office and let them know what I found out . Oh here is the thiefís truck .. anyone in Victoria keep your eyes out for a white ford 3/4 tone king ranch .

So you found the suspects, they admitted they have it, and you didn’t call the law? Am I reading that right?

You have a tad bit more self control than me. We would all be going to jail if I rolled up on the thieves. Or they would kill me.

Dang, should have called law right away and let them arrest them. Now that they know you have them pegged they are going to offload all their stolen items and hide them wherever possible, like the bottom of lake etc. Dang

What are we suppose to be looking out for? You had them, you got a confession, you let them go.

Did you call the cops when you confronted them?

What do you want us to do that you didn't?

Depends on the man who got stolen from. I know a couple where they'd need law enforcement AND an ambulance.

I hope they don't dump your Mule somewhere it can't be found. Good luck I do understand when you say you have to deal with the SO in the county the crime was committed though. I still think I would have drug him through the front door of SO by his ear.

This is what causes so many officers to lecture folks on when not to call 911. It is not a life or death emergency. Call or text a non emergency number. Calling an emergency number for a theft situation can tie up an operator when a real serious call is coming in where someoneís life is on the line.

I've heard of way worse reasons to call 911.

Ok I will give y'all that. Then he should have pulled out his phone and googled the local SO where he was at the time. These guys never should have just been allowed to leave IMO without the police being called there.

Call it how you want it...I call bs!
The **** dispatcher can transfer me to ďnon emergencyĒ for all I care. And BTW, I donít keep non emergency freaking ph#s on speed dial. Sue me
The guy had a very expensive SxS stolen. Maybe this is why freaking thieves think they can get away with this crap. Burns me up! I hate a **** thief!

I donít think he was saying not to call the law. I believe he was saying to use the non-emergent line, where ya still get a dispatcher and an officer, you just donít tie up a ď911Ē phone line if that makes sense.

Exactly. Thatís why I left it in the Jackson co sheriff office hands . Where the report was already filed . Victoria co said they can not do any thing about it unless the mule was in his possession at time the talked to him . Victoria so would not do anything. I called them they are the ones who told me Jackson co had to handle it . And they are working the case now .

In the moment with the aderain following. You seem to have given it a bit of thought. I bet you were thinking is this really happening? Crazy story! Hope you get your ride back unharmed.

Wow! Did you then call Jackson Co, and tell them what was going on while you were there? Did you give them the license plate number? Sorry for all the questions. Like I said I hope you find it. I'm just trying to figure it all out, and how they just got away.

IMO if that Mule has belonged to one of those officers it would have been handled differently.
