Washington bear hunt semi live

Today started the first day of my daughters guided bear hunt. We have already seen a medium sized black bear with an ear tag. We are taking a break for a little while and will be back at it this afternoon. I’ll update when I can, as service is spotty.

She is using her youth Savage 7-08. We are hunting spot and stalk, as there is no baiting allowed in Washington. It’s been a tough few hours and we are headed back out in a few minutes. We have already hiked 3.3 miles today and she hasn’t complained once. She had the a bear at 35 yards but the wind swirled and he took off.

Just got back in from the evening hunt. Went pretty good. We seen a huge boar at 1500 yards away but he was on property that is closed to hunting. Will be back at it at 5am.

Thats awesome, thanks for getting your little girl out there. I can tell just from the pictures that she is really enjoying the trip and taking it serious, I hope she gets the bear she wants.
