    You need to rethink your bleak view of the US.

    If the US had not gotten past the revolution, the British, Spanish, French, and Russians would have continued their colonization of North America. In fact, they did so where they could until their lands were purchased by the US (What barbarians) or they gave in to colonists seeking independence.

    Regardless of the US, European disease and warfare would have still wiped out the Native Americans as they did in Canada, Mexico, Central America, and South America.

    However, without such unique American ideas as Theodores RoseveltÂ’s model of conservation, and our culture with an emphasis on hunting, wildlife would have suffered the same fate as it did in other colonized lands in South America, Africa, and Asia.


    Whether you like it or not, America would have been tamed. IÂ’m just glad it was tamed by a country smart enough to preserve its natural resources and precious wildlife.
