    Rod iron fence cost?

What’s the going rate for 4’ rod iron fence per foot? I did a 8’ wood privacy fence this weekend, it was a ton of work and I tied up probably 35 hours fri-sun, after talking to some people and what they paid it seems like I could have paid a little more than what the material was to have it done and had a laid back weekend..

My 4’ tall wrought iron fence, with one 12’ double gate was about $35/ft.

$35/ foot seems high depending where you are. Around here, you can get a 4 rail 2 3/8 pipe for half that per foot.

Interested in how the rebar at the ground level is anchored in the Runner Board to keep it from being lifted upward

Wrought Iron is actually solid steel bars and real like they use to use before steel prices went astronomical.
The so called wrought iron these days is just square tubing fence.
Square tubing fence 24-42$ per ft
Wrought Iron about 65-100$ per ft

I’m a fencing contractor.... depending on the area anywhere from $30-35/LFT. I’m sure there are cheaper guys out there though.
