The benefits of owning a gun shop are very nice.

Looks like a killer for sure.

What bullet you planning to run in it? I was fond of the 105 bergers in my 240.

Haha! It really was Test barrel, prototype bottom metal, old stock, action had some DLC imperfections......even the scope was a re-cycled Nikon, haha. Glass aside, it did turn out to be a pretty nice "parts gun"

Same. The 105's will be first up to bat. If I'm really lucky, it'll like the Federal factory loaded version of that bullet. I hear good things......

Since its just a throw together beat around gun, I'll give you 50 bucks for it.

We better make sure it shoots first before you get too much money tied up in your offer

Since Robert’s rifle is wearing an APR CF barrel, the product is still likely in the infancy stage. To make sure the barrel will be competitive with the big names, lots of R&D is probably being done. This would mean multiple cartridges with a variety of twists. Several thousand rounds fired to see how the barrel holds up to accuracy and wear.

If APR only chambered and tested 15 barrels in 6.5CM, they wouldn’t get a true perspective on how these barrels perform. I’m guessing they’ll test multiple cartridges with multiple barrel lengths and twists to get a true bell curve. IMO, the most important thing is to document, document, document. That way APR can remedy any mistakes learned from the R&D stage. I would rather they wait and release a proven product than to rush and chamber inferior barrels

7 lbs naked? I thought it would come under 7 with an 18” carbon fiber barrel.

I’m glad to see this one. You got my wheels spinning in my head after we talked at the shop on Thursday morning. Really anxious to hear your results on whitetails with this.

If you want additional testing I have a spare Deviant that I would like to put to work. I have a Manners T4a and bottom metal. I have a few .308 barrels for it but I have been bored with that round and willing to test something that would be either a 600 yard f-class contender or something for ELR limited.
