I wanna Play...

Do yall have room for a ".223 Bushy Tottin' Rookie" decked out in Magpul skins???

Mines still fairly stock, added a Magpul stock, handguard, and grip last weekend, along with a mess of pmags filled with Z-Max, topped off with an el cheapo 6x24x42 scope...

It seems to work great for hogs, zombies, and milk juggs....

I meant buffer tube not buffer, I have a commercial buffer tube and need a milspec tube to fit my stock.

I was wanting suggestions for a good cost effective milspec tube to replace it with.

Sorry for the confusion.

midway usa......this one is $17, but they go up to around $50 depending on manufacturer.

the mil-spec tube diameter is 1.15 and commercial is 1.17 ... just go with major manufacturer and you'll be ok .. depending on how much you wanna spend.. or you can get the compete magpul kit .. I get my stuff from DSGarms.com ,they are a big magpul dealer, but I get special pricing ... find one u like and google best price delivered... my 2c.

I like the one that came on my PWS .. it's on ebay for $75 delivered .. has built in sling points too .. super nice finish , but pricey ..

I have no personal experience with it, but it seems to have good reviews. The price jumps pretty quickly past that tube and if I needed one I couldn't justify spending $50 on a tube. I just say Cheaper than Dirt has it for $15 as well.

Is the stock wrench a necessary tool to get the tube off? I've never taken one off before.

yes.......it makes life alot easier, get an armorer's guide to the AR15 while you're at it, pictures are always a good thing, because there is a spring and detent that will fly across the room if you're not careful, speaking from experience on that one.

if the stock was purchased new, i was ask the vendor if you could return it and get the entire kit instead. otherwise, hit ar15.com EE and find them there used.

By the way , for all you night hog bow hunting fools , there is a flashlight from noxx that has a red LED diode with focus beam.. I bought one just to have , it looks like it would be pretty easy to mount on a bow , and it lights up really bright to 80 yards plus ... they're $50! beats the crap out of all other compact lights I own with red filter
http://noxxflashlights.com/reddagger.html

I'll take a pic on my ar with the universal mount tonight....

it collapse some, but it is considered a rifle stock not a carbine, and uses (mine does at least) the rifle buffer tube and spring

I have been researching upper end AR's and have a quesion for you experts. The 2 things I am looking for is extreme accuracy and a light weight rifle. So far everything I want can be found with the LaRue PredatAR 5.56

Is there anything out there that is in the 6.5 lbs range i should consider?

Speaking of .308 ARs, what happened to the sub 7# 308 that AR Performance kept bragging that they were going to build a couple of years ago?

After having got to fondle a SCAR last week I don't think there is any other .308 platform I'd rather have.. Hands down beats any AR10 I've ever owned..

What was most noticable was how light the thing is with a loaded mag.. Its like under 8 pounds... It feels thin.. Its really unlike any .308 Ive ever held.. Compaired to what Ive owned with AR10s and FALs, there is no competition.. The SCAR is carryable and useable all day//

I think the guy whose I got to fondle paid like $2700.. I saw one for sale a month or two ago over on texas hunting forum.. Some guy on there gets them from time to time...

I think you would love one Travis.. Though the 300 road you are on may be suiting all your needs at a lesser cost..

You know me.. I have not been to hyper on guns in a while but that gun but man.. If I could find a way to get one I would..
