Default 2020 weight loss challenge??

Ok guys.. After my elk hunt in 2017 I got way too happy and fat and comfortable.. I started drinking whiskey too often and It is time for me to make a change.. I want to elk hunt in September again in a rough unit and I am not in shape for that..I have seen some weight loss challenges on here before and I am wanting to start this years..

I am willing to pay for one of thesehttps://www.undisputedbelts.com/
for this years winners.. If anyone who participates wants to throw a few bucks in I am open to it but I am also Ok with spending a few hundred dollars.. I dont know from threads past how it has been done but I am assuming % weight lost.. Lets throw this out there and see how much interest there is.. Were a few days away from the 1st!!

I’m right there with you. I cut 20 pounds in 2019. Would like to get another 10-15 off before elk season.

That is completely up to the majority vote. I would say 3 or 6 months. 6 would probably be better for guys losing weight in more of a healthy manner.

Weigh in morning of Jan 1?

Not playing, but following this closely. Was eating high carbs non-stop and got to where I was mixing my rum and Cokes in 12 ounce water glasses. Started dieting after Dec. 1st and am down 12#.

Developed a bad blood clot in my leg while out of state on a hunt. Trip to the ER confirmed it, and the doctor put me on Eliquis for a blood thinner. Said my lab work looked like a 3 year old just picked random numbers above and below normal ranges!!!

I was in the 2018 TBH weight loss comp. It kept me honest and was fun. We did it on a separate website away from TBH and it went from Jan 1 to June 30 I believe. We all put up $20/ea. Weigh In was every week either Sat or Sunday. There was a special “password” you had to write on a paper with the date and your screen name and have it in the pic with your scales. It was more the honor system but that helped keep up with the week and your weight loss. The moderator did a spreadsheet of all contestants and weekly weights so all could keep up. Think it was updated on a biweekly or monthly basis. It was fun and made me work harder than trying to diet myself. I lost 42# during the contest. Unfortunately, I’ve since put a lot back on. So I’d be up for it again as I need something to keep me motivated!

The pic is how we did weekly weigh-ins. The initial pictures we submitted also show a frontal and side view of contestant without a shirt on. Something to show physical progress for each contestant.

Awesome. How about this. Letís all pitch in $20 and the winner can either pick to have a belt made or just take the cash at the end of the challenge. Itís more fun if there is some money on the line.

I wonder if there is any way to start a group on my fitness pal? And I like the weekly weigh ins with a password. Thatís how they do it on fishing websites. Ha

Losing weight makes life so much more enjoyable. I didn't know that until last year when I lost 80 lbs. My wife became a certified health coach and got me on a plan, along with many of my hunting buddies that have lost anywhere from 50 to over 100 lbs.
