Yup... I've seen some big ones through the years on the side of the road. Cant imagine that story though... Would make for an interesting "conversation piece".

Not legally... I talked to GW last year about it, bc I came across one I wanted to use for rattlin horns or dog treats.

Seems like a waste to me, especially if it's a fresh kill and so many people (food banks) could benefit from it.

My dad hit a good buck last week, he called the game warden who in turn called the sherrifs office to give them my parents info so dad could take the buck. I guess this was in case he was stopped.

I've heard they are not very good to eat with all the trauma in their body. Blood in every muscle. Never picked one up so it's hear say only.

I may or may not know someone who may or may not, have cut the back straps out of a doe that got hit Tuesday around here. They may or may not have looked just fine.
