        Man black eyed peas are one of my favorites. Not a huge fan of cabbage but I tolerate it for the tradition.

                    Wife has some black eyes that’ll be goin in the pressure cooker today along with some chicken fried backstrap and squashed spuds..

                    It’s the cabbage superstition that we can’t hardly do

                    The ONLY way we can eat cabbage is in an egg roll or spring roll so there will be a few frozen PF Chang spring rolls in the oven as well

                      Is cabbage for new years a TX thing? I grew up in GA and it was collard greens and black eyed peas.

                            Love me some fresh blackeyed peas cooked with salt pork..... mix them with my grandmothers cream corn recipe makes for a helluva Thanksgiving side.
