Default 2019/2020 2.0 live!!!

I pulled out of the driveway at 5:41am and pointed this rig north again! We have hunters showing up in camp today to this will be a hunting/ part time guiding expedition. We picked up another couple of pieces of land in Collingsworth Co so that frees up a tag in my pocket! The rut is tapering off if not finished so bucks should start pouring onto the green fields.

I got off of work on Thanksgiving morning and was able to get sole much needed family time. Adalee and I made 1 hunt by the house and 0’d but there than that I have been pretty bowed up.

I left the bow at home this go round. We’re looking to get “Mandingo” his first kill. He’s a Remington 700 LR M40 in 7mm Mag and absolutely shoots like a dream. Carlos the Browning .280 is riding along just incase his services are needed. This should be a fun hunt. Y’all stay with me and I’ll update as often as I can.

Getting close fellas! This country gets like 6” of rain a year and I swear it gets all 6 of them every time I come up. I’ve been 4 times this year and it’s rained and or snowed every single time.

Over 20 deer and 100+ turkeys out front. 1 really nice 140” 10 with a split 2 and kicker off his right side. Probably a 3 year old.

Left my phone in the truck Saw over 100 deer this morning and 3 shooter caliber bucks. All too early to have any kind of idea exactly what they were. Coyotes cleared the field except for one big ol gray hussie standing on a fence row at 507yds. Dialed the scope up and gave it to her in the shoulder. She ran over 200yds and died in the bar ditch of the county road which was thoughtful of her! Mandingo got his first kill!

Headed to go meet up with Patrick and see how the hunters are doing. One of them is Cooper Davis if any of y’all are bull riding fans. Good dude! He had a little mishap on a 150ish 8pt yesterday so we’re hoping he connects today.

Made a mid morning ride through on some of our properties. We saw a bunch of deer, some really nice 3 year olds but no hammers for the hunters. Mike is sitting close to where I sat this morning, gonna try and get him on one of the ones I saw this am.

I got Mike dropped off in the area where I saw the good bucks this morning and rolled out to the new property. Patrick took Cooper back where he missed the big 8 and a new hunter showed up in camp just as I was leaving. We had a nice 4 year old 10 in the wheat when I dropped Mike off and several does out front of me now as I type this. It’s kind of warm but otherwise should be a good evening.
