Most videos I have seen are from South Texas/Mexico, or up north. If you are hunting McCulloch county, those deer are different. I hunt McCulloch and my buddies down south HATE trying to age and score our deer.

Trust me, it drives me nuts. I hunted McCulloch/Concho 2005-2009 and now 2018-2019. I think a lot of it is down south the deer are just so much larger that their body characteristics are exaggerated a little more vs where we are. I think the basics are still a good baseline knowledge.

Watch this video from the 1:25 mark on to about the 4:00 mark. Let me know your thoughts. Obviously I passed that deer, but I was tempted. Luckily our neighbors agreed to pass him too.
