    All the boats I have owned when I replace the motor I replace it with the max that the boat is rated for.
    I have never had a problem selling them and never regretted spending the money.
    The only regret I have is not buying the max HP when new.

        No need to work that hard. A guy used to fish bass tournaments with just pulled the horsepower sticker off. There was a 200 limit and he had a tuned 225 that was around that at the prop. 204 champion that would hit upper 70s

          I have a 115 2 stroke on my aluminum Xpress. And I couldn’t imagine smaller . And I’m not running as heavy as a Fibers boat.

            I have a 250 Suzy on my 21’ explorer..... my suggestion is this, get as much motor as you can afford. Suzuki’s aren’t speed demons, but have an awesome warranty and are the best on gas that I have found.
