            I had a couple late drops this year and have pics of a small spotted fawn next to one that barely has spots.

                  Momma was probably a fawn herself when bred, they come in heat during their first winter depending on body weight. It’s not unusual for them to get bred late December through early February depending on location. A buck is ready to breed any time he has hard antlers, the rut is driven by the does.
