Yeah - it was unbelievable! They were all in a canyon (80+ in the heard) and it sounded very ominous. This went on all day. It was 2:10pm when he came out and I shot him. I had set up on the water hole at 10am, after they all headed down into the canyon from feeding in the fields all night/early morning.

The ranch was amazing. 375,000 acres that borders the Bighorn National Forest. Whenever the elk get pressured, they feed down to this ranch.

Did you really mean a 375,000-acre ranch? I did not know one that large existed in Wyoming. Nevertheless, they have a shatload of elk!

Yes sir. 375,000 acres. Amazing - I know. They said it's been in the Flitner family for over 100 years.
