    Video Embed

Just trying to figure out how the videos embed now.

    I give up.

Tried every way it has worked before. No dice.

Most forums prefer you post a link to YouTube because of the server space they occupy.
At least that's what I've heard. I have no clue what it means.
Personally I'm waiting for the server to bring me another beer. [emoji481]

When you "embed" a video, it is still hosted on it's original server, and the site it is embedded on is only allowing your to view it.

No more resources are used for that, than posting a link to the video.

Now, if we were uploading videos to the site, that would tax the server some, or a lot depending on the server bandwidth & storage capacity.

I've been trying to post a video all day and cannot get it to work. I admit I am not computer savy. Old dude here.

Does removing the s in https from a YouTube link not work anymore?

I seldom watch the videos anyway.

But I did watch yours, but on my phone on most of them I can't see the arrow anyway.

I tried that earlier. It didn't work.

It happens to me also so no worries.

I’ve noticed it works more if you directly copy the link in the url rather than the link in the “share” option

That's what I was doing, because that's what had been working.

Looks like they got it fixed whatever it was.
