FINALLY!!!!! Im excited for our kids. It has been a long road as a coach and trying to keep kids mentally in it is exhausting.

Has been some changes along the way but man Texas Coaches have done a great job of following the directives.

I am ready to be under the lights again!

Well, how did everybodyís team do tonight?
Franklin lost 21-20. With under a minute left in the game, we scored and went for the win but couldnít convert on the 2 point conversion. Franklin was pretty much dead most of the night but came back to life in the last 4 1/2 minutes of the game. Glad I didnít leave early. Would have missed the end of a good game.

WO-S vs LC-M game tonight has been cancelled since both schools were without power all week. WOS’ game next week against Jasper also been canceled since Jasper has some damage from Hurricane Laura as well. Now I’m hearing the following game against Newton May be dropped as well. Man it will be almost October before we can play our first game!

Lorena vs China Spring tonight at Leopard stadium. Rolling with QB 3 & 4 tonight, maybe a long night for the home team. QB1 making good progress from the dislocated kneecap injury. Still hoping for return in another week.

Ah Got them mixed up. I knew y’all played them both just thought PG was first.

We haven’t had a game yet thanks to Hurricane Laura. WOS and several other schools in the area had extensive roof damage. We got back to practice after nearly 2 weeks off on Wednesday this week. If all goes well we will play Newton next week then district play starts the week after.

Yea, that sucks man. Should be a good game against Newton. I'm pretty sure they had a young squad last year when they came to gilmer and took a goose egg home with them. I think they went thru some coach changes so who knows.

Edit: gilmer put up 705 yards of offense last night

Franklin finally got their first win last night 42-27 over Troy. Big game next Friday though. Start district play with Lexington and they are ranked in the top ten

Haha no worries my friend. It was a good game. And we were happy to be there after a 14 year absence. I remember telling my wife at halftime, this game is far from over.

I see the Gilmer-Carthage game this week will be streamed online. I may have to watch this one. Do a little early scouting on 2 teams that one of which WO-S may have to face in December!

Yeah. They have to be the odds on favorite to win it all. Probably next year too.

Idk man, i know Carthage is a beast but they've only played one game this season. Iv watched that game three times now and I just don't think they currently have what it takes to beat gilmer. If gilmer can piece 4 quarters together they'll be hard to beat. I have been wrong before though lol

Edit: iv also watched all of pgs games and imo, they don't have what they've had in years past. Losing harmon really set them back. Again, its my OPINION lol

We find out today if the kid has recovered enough to return from the dislocated kneecap that he suffered 5 weeks ago to the day. Hoping he can return next week against Troy.

Lorena hosts Academy this week for the first district game of the year.
