[QUOTE=ACCURACYINC;14721145]For the first time in history people that arenít Yankee fans will probably root for the Yankees when they play the Asterisks.

You do realize the Yankees were the first time fined for using cameras to steal signs? Busted using the YES Network feed back in 2016 or 2017.

Also, the Red Sox have been busted twice now. First in 2017 for using apple watches and then of course the 2018 stuff when, one could argue karmically, the used the tech to beat the Stros, who had ceased to use it by then per MLB's report.

Lastly, to all the sanctimonious Dodgers fans...

Everyone may not have been doing it, but looks like everyone good was...

Thatís the point most have been making. MLB needed to shut it down and this is how they did it. Who better than a recent champ not named the Red Sox Yankees or dodgers. So they threw the book at the Stros.

You'd have to bang the trash can with a nuke to be able to hear it in Minute Maid during that game.

I would think the Rangers fans would be more excited about Minute Maid NORTH & not south, but it never fails. Rent free all year.

I've been an Astros fan as long as I can remember. YES THEY CHEATED, AND YES IT COMPLETELY TAINTS AND RUINS THEIR WORLD SERIES VICTORY!!. Why do you think they were able to come back against Kershaw in game 5, and were able to keep coming back that entire game??!! Did Bregman know what was coming when he had the game winning hit?? One of the happiest moments of my life was a sham, and it ****ing sucks!!

Any Astros fan that keeps defending them is in complete denial, and needs to face the truth and move on.

Honestly, I don't even really want to watch them this season because of the **** show that will happen.
Long, slow clap for the guy with testicles.

We are on our 4th astros thread. Spring training has started and not one Rangers thread. You would think a new stadium would have them hyped but they love living in our mentions.

At first I was very worried about having Dusty Baker as our manager. I’ve come full circle on him and really like the hire now.

I’m interested in who he’ll pick for the 5th starter spot.

Who would you pick?

Right now itís between Josh James, Brandon Pruitt and Cristian Javier. Iíd like to see Javier get the shot. I donít know enough about Pruitt yet.

Framber has been mentioned as well. Iíd like to see what James can do. Then have Javier and Framber starting in AAA ready to come up. Abreu has a startery pedigree too. Lots of interesting options

I am not defending anyone or assuming that everyone cheated. I know for a fact that the Astros, Yankees and Red Sox stole signs with electronic devices within the last few years....there is no doubt about it. I have no idea who did or did not cheat beyond that but I can assure you that if you asked me several months ago I would sound like some on here and would have defended the Astros....Professional sports is about getting big contracts and big contracts come from big numbers and some men are weak and / or greedy.

I personally think that players who would take PED's would be game for any advantage that they think they can get away with.....and likewise for sign stealers....if they are presented with some juice that will pass a test they are all over it..... just my opinion

Hard to beat Marisnickís production in CF with runs saved but Straw has a chance to be even better defensively and offensively with his speed.

Bregman hit a one handed homer today as well

Is Tucker ever going to reach his projection as a big leaguer? 0-16 so far in ST. Team overall is sucking offensively so far......I know, no buzzers and trash cans.

Kyle Tucker
2000 minor league AB he has hit .280
130 major league AB he has hit .206

Alex Bergmanís first 139 mlb ABís .237

Sample size is still too small for any real data. Pressure does seem to effect him though. When he has been in the mix to break with the team opening day he has choked. We really need about a half season of baseball to get a better feel for him.

It is interesting that the traditional benchmark for hitters was 1500 MLB AB's. It was generally believed that you didn't know what you had until they hit that mark. It seems that all the outstanding young hitters of the last decade have skewed that a bit.

On Tucker, he slashed .269/.319/.537 with a wRC+ of 122 in 72 PA last year. If he repeats that this year over something like a full season people will be calling him a stud at 23 yo, especially if he stabilizes his BB% and K% to something like his minor league career numbers.

The two biggest projection systems (Steamer and Zips) are somewhat at odds. Steamer has him at a 105 wRC+ and 1.4 WAR in 442 PA and Zips has him at 112 wRC+ and 3.3 WAR in 608 PA. Either of those or anywhere in between would be an upgrade over Reddick's output the last two years.

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see the potential with Tucker. I see a slow, elongated swing from a hitter that wants to pull every pitch. Generally not a good recipe for sustained success

Tucker's percentages in MLB PA's is 44.9% pull 31.6% center 23.5% oppo. Those aren't the percentages of a dead pull hitter.

Sample size is still too small for any real data. Pressure does seem to effect him though. When he has been in the mix to break with the team opening day he has choked. We really need about a half season of baseball to get a better feel for him.

I get it but Bregman has a classic short path to the ball swing. Tucker's is so unorthodoxed, that is what gives me pause for concern with him. I cant imagine the big league pitchers cant find a hole in it and attack it. Luhnow raved that his hand eye coordination made up for it. Im hoping he becomes another Hunter Pence!!!! Goofy paid off for him in spades.
