Nice progress. Only critique would be more blocks/chairs needed under the rebar. The way it is now, the rebar will end up on the ground when placing concrete.

Thanks. I’ll do that. Is there a standard when it comes to chair spacing?

Are you going to put plastic under your rebar? Keeps concrete from sweating.

If you look at the picture closer, he has black plastic under the covered area.

Yessir it’s there where the covered area is but not for the driveway.

Alright here we go. Got her poured on the 18th. Brought in concrete finishers for that part. I wrecked the forms the following day and have been cleaning up and getting the decomposed granite down for the approach front and back.Next step is putting up the remaining girts that were left off for concrete truck clearance and then start on the metal.

I used 2 1/2” x 1/4” self threading torx screws like the ones you might use on a trailer floor. Drilled a pilot with a 7/32 bit and they thread right in. Bought a six pack of the bits and they lasted the whole project. Used an electric drill for the pilot and a cordless right behind it for the screws. Was not difficult at all and went pretty fast. Bought the screws on eBay.
I tried using 1/4” self tappers but it was difficult and several broke.

As it stands, about $12/ft which includes

42x48
16’ walls
3/12 pitch
42x12’ concrete drive
Crushed granite front back and sides
Openings are 14x14 and two are 18x10

Haven’t bought doors yet.

Very nice build! Love the foundation. Got a nice place for the toys and tools for sure.

Do you have ventilation or just counting on the breezeway when doors are open?

Thanks for sharing with us.
