Yea it was good on Friday night that year but from what I remember Saturday night was better.

But then again there was a lot of whiskey drank before and after that game so memory is fuzzy... not to mention all the whiskey I've had since then. Great memory of the game though.

The Friday night party was annual. Tradition. All the news channels broadcasted live. Huge party. It got stopped because of some shootings by south Dallas residents that felt the drinking on city streets ban was lifted for a night only for white people.

There wasn't really a party on Saturday as most fans return to Austin and Norman.

Glad I have the fishing event this weekend. I just found out that Dish is in a dispute with some channel providers and ABC channel 8 is not available right now .....I'm about ready to drop them. If I didn't have such a nice setup at my deer camp with them, I'd have dropped them years ago. Hoping its available through ESPN3 because I won't be able to stream through Dish at the fishing event.
