He did an interview on the Michael Berry Show couple days ago about this auction... This is just his "extra stuff" that never gets used!! He's only keeping his 100 favorite guns, and he's got 4 other Broncos!! He's just down-sizing a bit because he's tired of maintaining the safes and storage on all that stuff!! There's a couple 50's vintage Les Paul's in the mix... a VERY wide array of cool toys for big boys!! He's going to be at the auction playing on the guitars and such that will be in the auction, will be signing things purchased, etc... It would be a hoot to go to I'm sure. I'm not a Nuge fan, but the guy would be fun to be around for a short time...

I’ll give him this: he can speak extemporaneously for an hour on the stupidity of liberals and gun control, never repeat himself, and it will all make sense. He can play guitar with the best of them, and he has a good time doing it. That said, I couldn’t take him for very long either......

Well......that seems somewhat irrelevant. Would you at least pay $20 for everything he owns if he was in the top 50?

I’m just jerkin your chain sailor but I just don’t understand the hate for uncle Ted. There are a lot of folks out there I can think of that I’d rather cruelly chastise that the Nuge. For the most part....he’s on our side.

Nugent, from the more recent interviews he has done, he seems to have calmed down a good bit, comes off a lot more down to earth. Years ago, his interviews were "Different", out there, wacky, but he usually had good points, just came off quite a bit out there.

There is not one celebrity that takes on Peta or anti-gunners like him. Not one.
I'd give him $25 for that Browning Rennaisance Grand Puissance. Wow.
Why he ain't keeping that I have no idea.

One of my friends here in Abilene is good friends with Ted. My buddy and I were on the same lease a few years ago. Ted always comes in and hunts with my buddy a couple times a year. I was there one morning when Ted was there, and we all had breakfast in the lodge together. Ted in real life is the exact same as Ted on TV. He's a very nice man. Very intelligent and articulate. And very talkative and intense. You will never have to wonder what Ted is thinking or how he feels about something.

He's an interesting dude for sure.

I just called my buddy to see if he'd seen this auction. He said Ted told him about it a few weeks ago. He and his wife recently built a new house, and he just didn't want to have to move and store all this stuff anymore. He's still keeping a huge pile of VERY expensive Gibson Birdland guitars, among other guitars and a large number of other guns and bows and memorabilia. Just selling off the extra stuff. I've seen pictures of his Birdlands. His collection is worth a LOT of Bitcoin.

Actually, he served his country in Vietnam. You know, the one Ted chose not to participate in?
Many Vietnam veterans have issues with those who chose to let others go fight in their stead and then reap the benefits that others fought for.

Back in 1991, Ted was doing a morning radio show here in Dallas at the Hard Rock Cafť. I stopped by before work to see if he would autograph my bow. Spent about a half hour talking to him. It was an enjoyable experience. Several years later, me and my son saw him in Mineral Wells at a little store on HWY180. He bought my son a Dr. Pepper. He was on his way to a hunt.

Have had the pleasure of hunting with him on a couple of occasions. His on screen persona is much different than his around the camp fire one. He is a great guy a lot of fun. He tried to tech me instinctive shooting but aint no way I could do it. He is crazy accurate.

I met him once, back in the late '80s at a Bass Pro hunting expo at their headquarters/store, was very pleasant to talk to. Later on I had an employee in Waco whose wife is friends with Shemane, who couldn't say enough good things about her and Uncle Ted. They were friends via her ladies group at church. Solid people.
