I know there were several TBH members who hunted Daughtrey this past deer season. My son drew youth turkey, which is in couple weeks and curious if any reports on turkeys seen and what unit? Hunted there 4 years ago in unit 9 north of lake and saw a lot.

I hunted unit 5 where the big double main beam was killed last fall.

We saw turkeys / tracks on all roads in the unit. I was hunting the far stand past the old pump station and had a couple of big lone toms come and go on the hand corn.

Would love to be drawn for a thunder chicken hunt on that place.

My son and I hunted it last spring. We saw 4 turkeys, heard plenty. I think it was too early for us. We drew unit 4 and all the birds we saw were on the far east side next to 5. The only bird I remember being shot was in 5.

Most of what we heard was in the campground and seemed to roost in the trees between 4/5 and the camp ground

We went out for lunch one day and saw a giant crossing the rd by the headquarters.

I hunted unit 10 last fall. Covered up in birds.

I was in #4. Big flock of turkeys seen. I also took some pics of 3 toms that came strolling down the pipeline. I’ll post them tonight when I get home from work with better service.

Although we saw a lot of turkeys on our deer hunt, hardly heard any at daylight. Only heard a few gobbles way off.

These birds wasn’t far from the campground, the one at check in station. Actually just behind the campground on the first pipeline you come to in area 4.

Thanks! Thought about taking tent and camping there but forecast showing strong wind and some rain.
