When the front tires come off the ground !!

I have hauled a whole pallet before. I wouldn't make a long highway trip with it though.

1/2 ton is around 20 bags so I would say 30?

If your a red neck this is about right, and I say that in the most respectful way. I love being a red neck. Get a small trailer and end of problem.

Dang, I've put 50 bags in my 6 1/2 foot F150 bed lots of times. It does just fine. My 1/2 ton Z71 Chebby max's out at about 25 or so.

I've had no problems hauling 25 in my half ton Chevy. For safety's sake, abiding by the
max payload, which includes passengers and gear, you will be hauling much less.

You should be able to carry 25-30 with no problem.

I've hauled about 35 bags plus full coolers, fuel cans, and other gear plus a passenger and a backseat full of ****. Up and down the hills of I-10 no problem.

                      Treat it like a truck.

I’ve hauled a pallet (40 bags) of corn many times in my F150. Don’t be skeered

Check your payload in your doorjam

Check the front of your truck. If you see a bow tie then 10 bags is probably all you can handle.

X2. This will give you how much it is safe to load (OP's question) which is far different than what you can get away with loading
