I bought mine yesterday with a Nikon Buckmaster II 4-12x40 scope. I haven't had a chance to shoot yet but super excited. I bought 150 gr, but after reading this I will go buy a box of 168 gr. for comparison.

Crazy how accurate those ugly old Savages are. Especially since the barrels are hand straightened by eyeball at the factory. He is the 3rd generation of his family that has that job.

Really nice. If your going to bed the action make sure you do the research in it. You can't bed a Savage the same way you do a Remington.

Bought one myself, 399.00 after mail in rebate. Already shot 4 pigs with it, and about 1/2 groups with a Burris TAC30 scope, and Blue box Federal 150 gr.

I have rhe savage 11 hunter and love it. Shoot Hornady 150 gr interloks and stack 5 in a quarter at 100 yds. No complaints.

Anyone with the 10PT-SR, find a stock to fit yet? I know it’s an academy special and it’s a little different than most.

I have a 24" version that I dropped in an XLR element chassis. I love it for long range gong ringing
