Kings are awesome snakes - the only downside is they are hard on your rattlesnake population

use this situation to educate your neighbor. King snakes eat rattlesnakes and copperheads. They are very docile and non-aggressive towards humans

Speck. Great snakes to have around. They eat chicken snakes as well (aka rat snakes)

Caught lots of them they don’t have a pattern that I’ve ever seen.
Just a black snake with yellow speckles aka speckled kingsnake .

Go to Google and type in Speckled Kingsnake. Then hit "images." Just as many speckled kings have a light pattern as those with just flecks of color.
