That very well could be true if you do not want things like paint or a motor. I will not post what we already have in it prior to starting but I will say I pasted those amounts some time back.

Hey I started building a Flats Skiff in September!
You are right about the cost. My boat is a 14' and it appears that when completed it'll cost a little over twice those numbers.
I look forward to seeing your progress.
I plan to post mine when I'm finished, probably this coming spring.

Good luck on the build Mr BrazosHunter.

You might consider adding a bit more slope to that tile shower shelf.

I didn't buy the plans, instead I elected to make it up as I go but it will be very similar to the FS14.
Here's where I'm at with the build. Waiting for time and weather to finish painting the hull then flip it to continue with the inside.

There is a couple degree slope and water does drain out. It’s getting closer to completion!

Well, it took MUCH longer than anticipated but the bathroom makeover is complete! Tuesday I will finally start on the boat build!

Thank you! It’s almost hard to remember what I started with after removing everything that needed replaced/addressed.

I’m tuned into this. I bought a square stern canoe and 5hp propane powered engine, and it’s just not wide enough to fish comfortably. Will probably sell the 5hp and keep to canoe to knock around in no-motor zones.

I knocked out a couple more pieces day before yesterday and have the last sheet before scarphing laid out yesterday. If all goes as planned I should scarph all the joints a week from today then begin stitching it together shortly thereafter.

I’m back at it this morning. Cutting out more patterns and hopefully will be ready to scarph the joints this afternoon.

All scarph joints have been cut and assembly of the pieces (scarphing) has began!
