Sorry to revive an old thread, but I came across this one yesterday while doing a search and thought it was great.
My dad never bowhunted, but my sister (19 years my senior) married an old boy in 83 or 84...I was 6 or 7 at the time. For a wedding present my dad bought him a 4 wheel Jennings bow. I may be remembering this wrong, but I want to say dad paid $400 or $500 for it. Anyway, that was the coolest thing I had ever seen. He (my BIL) was already an avid bowhunter and that new Jennings was his pride and joy. Never had sights on it...shot Autumn Orange XX75's with feathers...always, even during hunting season, had a bowfishing reel on the front and a bowfishing arrow in the quiver. My dad bought me a little fiberglass recurve, I taped a Bear Hug quiver on it and after rabbits I went.
