    Muzzleloader neck shots

Are they just as effective as with a rifle?

I have never done it with a muzzle loader, but a 44 caliber pistol with a 250 grain bullet will do the job. I would assume a muzzle loader would do the same with a similar bullet.

Just put it in the high shoulder if you don’t want it to run off. Even though my muzzleloader will shoot clover leafs at 100 yards, I would not chance a neck shot with one. They are just not as in tune as centerfire rifles. Go for the big target.

I do it with a CVA Accura. 245gr PowerBelt with 100gr IMR WhiteHot.

Accuracy out of the CVA Accura is phenomenal out to 150yards.

With only one shot, I’m going for the boiler room or shoulder

Yes just the same as a rifle. Biggest buck I've ever shot was in the neck with the 250 grain Hornady SST's at 55 yards. Bullet hit neck bone and disintegrated. No pass thru. DRT tho.
