The young fellow that went with me to Matador shot a small Buck at a water hole. The water holes are the only thing you can count on. There are trails but the Whitetails are more like Mule Deer in he respect that they wander a lot up there and may or may not use the same trail twice in a row. Any pasture with the Pease River on it will have some waterholes. All animals have to drink you just have to be there when they do. Good luck and Happy Hunting. L.T.Bowhunter.
