Default Chasing the grand slam!!!!

T-10 days

In 10 days I will be flying out for Alberta. The target is Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep. He Will be hunting for 2 weeks with Landen Collings. I’ll be packing the bow and the 6.5 PRC. Work may kill me before I leave but it’s going to be good. I’m ready for cooler temps and mountain scenery!

I’ll try to keep it as live as I can.

Been hitting the gym every chance I can and shooting the bow out to 110 yards. You just never know if it’s enough. But, I have been there before and know what to expect. The rifle feels good. Have shot it out to 500 yards. That sheep target was a group from 98 yards. Hopefully I get a shot at half that distance. I know it’s going to be tough and success rates definitely are not 100%.

That’s a dam solid group for almost 100 yards! I bet there are plenty “bowhunters” who can’t do that at 50 yards
How do you like that Levitate compared to your Hoyt or Mathews bows?

Can’t wait to follow this adventure. Best of luck Doc!

The levitate is different. It’s super light and moves around on target a bit. The draw cycle is a bit harsh but very doable. But for some reason I reach for it first every time I shoot. It will be great for the mountains. Groups and shoots every bit as well as my heavier bows. I have also been shooting an rx-7 ultra. It’s a sweet shooter and a big baby. I just love the pse. It truly feels powerful.
