    Fawn 11-11-19 Schleicher County

    Had this fawn out in front of me Saturday evening for a couple of hours...the mother looks normal....

      And you saw mama? WT? Maybe my perspective is off but looks large to be WT. Also, coloration is funky.

                    Not saying you didn't see exactly that- but everything about that deer says Fallow. From the shape of the face and ears to the overall coloration.

                          Serious question... Will a whitetail deer allow another fawn to nurse?

                          I know hogs will nurse any piglet but cattle will not.

                            Not true about all cows. I got a couple of cows right now that will allow multiple calves to nurse.

                              I am with the Fallow guys. Coloration and spot pattern say fallow. Even wt fawns that were born late in the spring/early summer have just about lost their spots by now. May see some light spots, but sure wouldnt think a wt fawn would be that heavy spotted this time of year.
