    Barb wire cart failure

Im trying to build a barb wire cart and I failed. Anyone built one before? If so can you please a pic of what you did.

What I built might be ok to haul wire around but wire spool don’t spin

Just add a second plate for the spool to sit on, then put motor oil between the two plates of metal. That will reduce the friction enough for the spool to rotate.

Ok I will go horizontal. But what do y’all suggest I do to keep the cart from rolling forward? I welded that kick stand on the front to keep it somewhat upright. I drilled two holes near top and bottom and placed a pin to hold in position.

              Thanks

It’s got a plate on the bottom. But it won’t spin and if I pull to hard the whole thing moves.

I got some scrap 2 inch angle iron and i will go horizontal. That should work

Tie your wire off and pull the cart.

Horizontal. That’s what we did. Hard to keep it from spinning off too much unless you have a brake or some friction.

When I was a kid we had an old lawnmower handle with the wire on a piece of pipe between the forks. I hated it but it worked.

You sure your HOA is gonna approve a barb wire fence? [emoji6]

We have one like this as well, and works great for small patch jobs.
