    Tactacam Settings

I just noticed today that my older tactacam no longer has a setting to change how your pictures are sent. Used to be I could have it as instant send or 2 or 6 times a day. My newer reveal x has the option. Has anyone else noticed this?

I still have the same timely, 2x, 1x send settings in my app for the original tactacam.

I’m curious as to why you are asking?

My cameras haven’t been sending many pics in the last few days.
I have a hard time believing there isn’t anything there.

Birds, coons , rabbits and turkeys should be at least tripping the camera if the deer aren’t showing up.

Next time you have your camera in hand, check what’s on your SD card vs what’s on your app. I bet the camera is taking more pics than it’s sending.

Do you not have the test picture being sent?

I have that feature on but am not sure how to activate it.

I switched to photo + video but wasn’t getting any sent that way either, so when I switched one of the cameras back to photo it did take a pic.

Go into your Settings and scroll all the way down. Next to Check-in Picture, make sure it says On.

Mine sends a picture every 12 hours 12:29 AM and PM. It's just a picture with no animals in it but it allows you to make sure the camera is transmitting and also lets you see if the positioning has been changed (weather, varmint, etc).

Mine is set to timely. I prefer that so I can just open the App and see all my latest pics. Also check the sensitivity. That may be why you’re not getting pics of squirrels, birds, etc.

                      Tactacam Settings

Test picture was selected on both cameras, but it’s not doing what is described ^.

I’ll bump my sensitivity up on each.

What mp do y’all set at?
Ive got them on 12, but not sure that it matters.

MP is just picture size/quality, it doesn't have anything to do with the camera triggering. And yes, try bumping your sensitivity up a bit. All 3 of the one's I've messed with between my personal, my wife's and my fathers were set to 7/9 by default and that seems to work well, as it triggers out to every bit of 30 yards.

10-4 on the mp’s, I just wasn’t sure if it actually sends different quality pictures or they all get sent at one mp no matter which is selected.

I got a bunch a pics this morning from both cameras.

Next question- can these cameras send video if the video + pic is selected?

Good question about sending videos. I’ve never tried it. I barely have enough signal where I hunt to send pics.

I honestly don't know either, as I haven't tried it. You might have to be in range to hook up to the on board WiFi to get video from the camera.
