They are fugly. I'm talking about synthetic stocks. I love the character of wood. The only ones I have that aren't wood are my are. Life's to short to hunt with an ugly gun.

Took my wood stocks to Alaska. Always damp and cold. Properly finished and full length bedding worked well

I ain't gonna go that high with my percentage, but I will say that unless a wood stock has some gorgeous grain running throughout the stock, they leave me with a "meh" feeling. That said, the "cheap" black synthetics are even more meh without some webbing/painting done to them

My wood stocked guns are older than most of you guys and are well used. Still prettier than synthetic stocks.

I to really like a fine wood stock, on another sight I was ridiculed for it. That and I still like a deep blued Metal, instead of carakote, would have got me hung if they knew how to find me. I was totally surprised how times have changed.
