Default chicken ID

My mom found this chicken at the boat dock and no one claimed it so she brought it up to add to my little flock. I'm about 95% sure it's a sussex, but only about 75% sure it's a hen. either way, the bird is easily 2-3 times the size of my other hens, which are cinnamon queens and a leghorn. If it's a rooster i'm thinking i'll smoke it.

So what do yall think? Sussex Hen? I hope so.

Poultry science grad here. Which means nothing more than I found pretty much the easiest major at A&M. I see a rooster there.

Pretty sure it's a young rooster. Judging by the pointed neck and saddle feathers.

It didn't come across in the pics but the black tail feathers have a green/blue iridescence to them in real life. After looking up both the brahma and wyandotte i'm thinking it's the brahma, mostly due to the feathers on the leg.

so would you say rooster or hen?
