Izzy was my first hunting dog and can never be replaced. Ol girl was 14 and on no meds and made retrieves until the week before she died. She will be missed no doubt!

It's never an easy thing to loose a loyal hunting partner.

I'm on my last pup. She is 14 this month. And has a hard time with some things.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

So sorry, losing a companion is so hard and still gets me. Quiet house, no sounds of paws, just alot more empty feeling when they're gone. Start a new chapter if ya can.

Sorry to read about this and sorry for your loss, it's amazing how much it hurts when their time is up. Sounds like Izzy had a great life though and I bet wouldn't trade it for anything.

I know the feeling, reading this gives me a lump in my throat, and an uneasy feeling in my gut, and tears in my eyes. I will remember mine forever ! Sorry for your loss, only thing I think of to make it “ better” is someday I hope to see them again. At least I will be where ever they are, told them to meet by the moon.

So sorry about Izzy.

3 weeks ago, Clyde, my very active 5yo Aussie/Border Collie cross, developed pancreatitis that went misdiagnosed by our local vet. By the time we got him to an emergency vet later in the day he was septic, and his blood pressure was so low that he wouldn't survive surgery. We had to put him to sleep that night. Terrible start to the new year.

lost my ol yellow lab 3 weeks ago. 14 years old and still was retrieving up till his last couple of days... Best dog i ever owned.

Man, this thread gives me pause. I've got an 11 year old yellow lab and we are waiting on blood work results from the vet. He doesn't move like he used to and has been putting on weight and getting those lumps that make any dog owner nervous.

Sorry for your loss and prayers up for you sir. They are family for sure.
