I'm not sure that the shotgun is much of an advantage over a broadhead and the privilage to drive into the area was just for the purpose of dropping of traps or hauling out the hog and even then it was still limited to the designated trail. Since I don't trap it was really a waste of time to enter the drawing.

From talking to the guys at Outdoor Pro Shops in Garland, theyre only going to allow deer hunting on private land.
Such a shame too. Id imagine it'd have to be a lottery if they ever allow a full blown deer season at Lavon.

Anyone still hunting hogs at Lavon this time of year?
