We caught about 30 keepers. Only fished a few hours.

I have lived in Dallas for a long time but never fished lavon! Decided to go today. Beautiful weather. Only caught 3 plus a 5 lb catfish but it was still a great day to get out (and avoid the bathroom remodel!). The lake has potential. Talked to a guide on the lake and he said "today sucked" so I don't feel so bad. Full moon feeding schedule I guess. Only truck in the parking lot!

Most folks spider rig the dam this time of year. Go back in May! It's a good lake for numbers. I just don't like driving to the city to fish for small crappie so I'm out!
