Late May, my 93 year old dad was diagnosed with 5% leukemia cells. In October, he was still planning on sitting with my son on opening day. He was admitted to hospital in Bryan on 11/3 for 9 days. We then moved to skilled nursing facility in Madisonville and has been there since. Doctors didn’t want to give him treatment due to age and severity of the drugs. He was receiving periodic blood transfusions, but those have been stopped. He hunted on our family property his entire life, starting with the first year Leon county had a deer season. To my knowledge, he didn’t miss an opening day until 2019. I was 6 and was with him when he killed his first deer. Him and my mom slept in the bedroom at the house he was born in until he was hospitalized. (Apologies for grammar)
