We had a few of those in the family. Still one of my favorite trucks I owned. Was a 89 F350 standard cab, 4X4, with a 460, C6 and factory 4.10 gears. That truck was a beast. I would drag a seriously loaded down trailer through some deep mud and never slow down, the trailer was more of a sled in that mud, that a trailer.
The last day, I ever took customers hunting, we were in that truck. It was about 14 degrees outside. Had to get up a big steep hill. Turns out the road and everything else was covered in ice. I found spinning the 35" BFG mud terrains, till they were smoking made for great icy road tires. Boiling hot tires, will give you traction on ice, maybe not a lot, but enough to get you up a steep hill covered in ice. I smoked the tires all the way up that hill, that morning. The guys I took hunting that morning, I am sure, thought I was crazy.
So what engine in your truck 300, 302 or 351? 2wd or 4wd?
