Sometimes you just have to back up and slow down, I have custom guns in fast calibers, super accurate bench guns and most everything else but they were too much work . A couple of years ago I bought a Ruger African in 275 Rigby, you just can't beat a Walnut and blue rifle. It shoots a 160 grain Speer Hot Cor at 2660 and is an absolute hammer out to 350 yards with a little holdover. I've decided to go back to my roots and enjoy hunting again.

Just recently picked up a Savage
111 in .270 Winchester. I can’t wait until I can get out & shoot it some.

I’ve been working up quite a few loads to try.

My .270 with core lokts has done a ton of damage.

I have a model 70 .270 that I bought because dad had one. Still trying to dial it in.
But my .280 is shooting 140 core lokts and it’s been making me proud time and time again.

Not a 270, but my old m77 varmint 25-06 will shoot right at .5moa with corelokts. I wa as blown away at how well they shot. Killed my buck with it this year because I had so much confidence it the gun over my 300wm.
