My dads buck

Just wanted to share the buck my dad killed at our lease a couple weeks back. Shot him with his bow but when he hobbled off and was standing pumping blood and wobbling at 25 yards, he said screw it and popped him in the neck with his 270. First shot was forward and broke the leg and then the sst finished him off.

Way to go dad! Very nice buck. The way that entry wound looks I'm surprised he didn't go down any quicker. Looks like a kill shot to me. Did y'all do an autopsy to see if he hit vitals with the arrow?

Didn’t gut him to find out, but he had to hit something good because he was really pumping blood out. I’m sure he would have fell over right there eventually but I guess he got impatient lol [emoji51]
