I fished with captain ricks. Just south of Cancun but it was a good time. They have a bunch of boats and good captains

Not to be the killjoy or anything...check multiple websites for violence around resort areas right now....Cartels going after tourist on jet skis, etc, beach being shot up, and tourists scattering...been happening a lot down there...a fishing charter is a prime target...they know its loaded with people with money

          Be safe

            Just something to think about.....
A fishing charter is kinda expensive (a few hundred bucks) kills an entire day of your vacation, and you dont get to keep the fish.

Unless fishing in Mexico is a dream of yours or you are just really super into fishing, I'd think twice about it. I understand people take vacations specifically to fish or dive, but if this is a trip to relax on the beach it may not be worth it to you to lose a day charter fishing.

If you're set on fishing, look for charters leaving from Isla Mujeres. Prices for just about everything are cheaper on Isla than they are in Cancun.
