    Lease shade awning

Well new lease in south Texas gets hot, really hot! So a place to get out of the sun was a must. I recruited the help of my younger brothers and one of my best buds to get the project done. It is a 20x24 structure with a 16 ft wall on the north side. Inside the wall I’ll mount shelving and put in a fridge, stainless table, tv, flat top grill, and lights.

I think so, be a neat hang out when I’m finished with it. Already wishing I would have built it bigger lol

Put you a wood burning stove in there for when it gets real chilly.

Looks stout and definitely not going anywhere!

We did something similar back in the day when I was hunting with my dad. He built a large 20X24 room, essentially a cabin, and built tunnels into it from out trailers. We had cabinets, fridge, and pot belly stove in there and man it was nice to not have to sit out in the cold!

WE have done this on countless leases, and finally learned to not put one up as it will stay with the lease.

I do recommend a barrel stove to heat it.

                          Looks great.

I just built a 12x22 in front of our cabin.
Wish i would have gone with the 4x4 posts instead of pipe for stability purposes.

                          Yours looks really solid!!

I used 5.5 x 5.5 light posts, they are sunk almost 3 ft in the ground. I don’t think it’s going anywhere. Lol
