It seems a lot of guys on TBH are knowledgeable on arrowheads. How do you know that one is over 3000 years old? Is it the rock material, the shape of the arrowhead, the flakes, what dictates age?
To me it looks like it was just knapped. A good looking arrowhead.

99% sure it is a Tortugas which is about 3000 year old.
Nice find, where there is 1 there are 1000s. Keep you head down and look in areas of high erosion(creeks, washouts, roads, etc...). I grew up in the area looking for them and have thousands.
FYI, don't waste your time digging in south Texas, the soil/sand is too shallow.Last edited by Reelthreat; 12-12-2019, 10:09 PM.
