Default Leon County Manhunt

FYI for anyone going to or traveling through the area. Highway 7 between Centerville and Marquez is apparently shut down and I saw one map where a triangle between those towns and up to Buffalo is the search area related to the hunt.

https://www.kbtx.com/2022/05/12/manh...en-prison-bus/

Definitely going to make my trip up this weekend a little more interesting.

Time to bring in a dog. The shot might have been a little low. Check near water holes he may be laid up close if he's gut shot. In for LDP's.

I’m about 7 miles south of area in question. One of my friends posted a picture on fb. Food, utensils, and Glock on counter. Caption: this is how moms and wives in Leon and Madison county fix supper. Have friends in area if manhunt, they aren’t worried, some bad dogs in that area.

They did when I worked there, but that was back in 1995-2004. Not sure how they do that now on escapes. The escapee needs to worry more about the landowners and the dogs in that area and not the Correctional Officers..

Hope they find him laid up at a water hole nursing a good ol gut shot.

I saw the video of them cutting a high fence so horseback riders could get through. May not be making friends pulling that kind of stuff.

They and DPS are all over the place.

Had to run in to Centerville earlier so I cut South and hit 977 through Leona. Once I hit 75 North I saw several DPS cruisers driving normal going South toward Leona.

Got done with what I needed to do and decided I was going to head West on 7, several more cruiser driving normal so I thought to myself they might have ended it.

Nope, not the case. Hwy 7 West is still blocked a bit past Woody’s Smokehouse on the Southbound feeder side, and there was a load of various TDCJ vehicles at the Exxon across from that Woody’s.

Bet they corner him and he “suicides” himself. Always happens when there’s a manhunt in limestone, freestone, Leon, or Robertson counties. Those law dogs round there don’t bring them in live very often.

I thought we had a bunch of highly trained hounds across this state, trained up for exactly this type of situation.. Where are they??? Turn the hounds loose and sort them chew on him for about a day.. If he is still alive after that then shoot him.. The area hogs will take it from there..

I told my parents Friday evening I believed he was already out of the area.

They expressed doubt but then talked to one of the state employees manning the intersection of 7 and 39 and their way back home from breakfast Saturday morning. He relayed that he and a lot of others out there felt the guy was long gone as well.

They need to just say, shoot on sight. But, that could lead to a LOT of confusion.

Had a long time family friend that was murdered some years back by an escaped murder convict serving a life sentence. He got the death penalty the second time and Arkansas put in down a couple of years ago when they were supposed to execute 8 in a week or so. Burn in Hell Kenneth Williams. I hope it stings for eternity.

I grew up close to 5 prison units & anytime one escaped it didn’t take long to locate & secure them. Not sure what’s different this time but geez with todays technology with thermal scoping, drones, etc dude should be found. At least I’m hopeful cause sounds like he’s not the type we want wandering out in society & id be willing to bet he ain’t going down easily
