Wife has tested positive for the Covid so work told me to stay away for 7 days. Watched Lonesome Dove the other day from start to finish for the first time in about 20 years. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it. I think since I’m older now I enjoyed it even more. We sure could learn a lot from characters like Gus Mccrae and Woodrow Call. They sure had some great one liners and words of wisdom. We could use some of their kind today.

Love it. Should be required reading/watching for all. Numerous life lessons about right/wrong, character, responsibility and accountability.

The first time a movie (technically a mini series) did not disappoint when compared to the book.

I was at my lease near Ballinger years ago. I watched the whole Lonesome Dove movie running a generator even though I had seen it many, many times already. Great movie.
